Training and Education

We offer tailor-made training to care homes/agencies/charities, support workers and volunteers both in acquired brain injury and falls prevention. The education sessions can include: positioning & transfers, postural management, physical well being, fatigue management, falls prevention and cognition & perception difficulties.

These would involve practical sessions and would be delivered by experienced clinicians aiming to:

•  Increase knowledge of neurological condition

•  Increase awareness and assessment of falls. This includes provision of a falls prevention programme

•  Improve levels of therapeutic care and ability within the supportive role to maximise client's independence and wellbeing

•  Deliver guidance for clients to access the community

•  Provide a support network and opportunity to share ideas

•  Improve confidence working with brain injury clients

•  Explain the importance of goals using Bridges or other self management approaches​
